Stuff I really really want but might never be able to afford and am too lazy to try and recreate (for now).

Marimekko by Samu-Jussi Koski

Louise Gray S/S10

migh-T by Kumiko Watari, S/S10 gnomes & garden collection

Eley Kishimoto S/S10

I actually blame Sonia Delaunay for my entire obsession with colourful and bold prints. Check out some random textile designs and other work of her here.

And errr, some accessories?

“You should never just read for ‘enjoyment.’ Read to make yourself smarter! Less judgemental. More apt to understand your friends’ insane behavior; or better yet, your own. Pick ‘hard books.’ Ones you have to concentrate on while reading. And for God’s sake, don’t let me ever hear you say, ‘I can’t read fiction. I only have time for the truth.’ Fiction is the truth, fool! Ever hear of ‘literature’? That means fiction, too, stupid.”

This really needs to be on my bookshelf RIGHT NOW. Check out John promoting his new book at Colbert Report. He says stuff like ‘I gave them (six-year-olds) presents like Oprah, I gave them rat skeletons. And they really liked it.’ This man is obviously my hero.

“If you don’t love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?”

😀 THIS is what I’d like my summer to look like (with colourful cocktails decorated with tiny plastic flamingos and those cool little umbrellas). Please?

  • DAAAAMN *____*. Marimekko prints! And oooh those Kimiko Watari clothes.

I have a book by John Waters. It’s awesome. He talks a lot about growing up in Baltimore and the brilliance of bad taste.

I need all of these clothes. Damnit!

  • Even though I never see myself wearing bright, colourfull clothing, I would wear some of these pieces, but more in my kind of colours. I think they’re gorgeous and def you. 😀
It’s funny seeing that girl wearing a shirt with that strange animal in a skirt, because on my to do list I had written to decorate some shirts myself with crazy animals. XD Now I really want to go for it.

      • Well… It’s not really obvious what exactly the thing on that shirt is. That’s maybe why I like it. It’s so freaking crazy and cute the same time. 😀 I see some kind of bird with a green leaf-hat, wearing a skirt, has loads of legs and looks like it’s doing a crazy clumpsy dance! 😀

  • i simply cannot get over how perfect that Marimekko collection is, still drooling! @.@

  • I own a vintage 60s Marimekko mini dress that I never wear D; I need to bring it back into my wardrobe rotation! I don’t even have a photo of it, I don’t think. Such perfect colours.

The sale on Eley Kishimoto’s online shop is tempting (legwear is th only thing I can afford at any time, though.)

  • oh wow. nice John Waters quote and I need that Rupaul book too! kind of on a different not but just watched Precious and wow. that was amazing. and love that Lousie Gray outfit with all the scarfy stuff tied around her ankle. that looks great. like wispy lego blocks! oh, nice.
