Wiki says: “Tommy is a 1975 musical film, based on The Who’s 1969 rock opera album musical Tommy”. I thought the start was a little slow though hilariously bad. But then there was this:
So, Tommy, the curly haired blonde god, is deaf, dumb and blind. And therefore his mother, the leopard clothed goddess, feels the need to bring him to a Marilyn Monroe-worshipping church that drugs up the believers? That just doesn’t make any sense. Awesome.
I suspect Tyra Banks learned Fierceness Fierciosity from this woman.
Or the art of plain creepiness. All is possible.
Tommy actually goes from being a huge centre-point of frustration to his parents to a Pinball Machine Wizard to the new Messiah. But first there’s this:
Then the film just falls into this whirlwind of randomosities!
So even if you’re not a fan of The Who (I’m not either) you have to see it! Especially if your passion in life is rock operas! But liking rock operas is a good enough reason too… or love of random fabulosity!
